These sites are located in the perimeter areas of the Cape and offer access to the Caloosahatchee River and, ultimately, to the Gulf of Mexico. Saltwater lots may be either "Direct Access", which means there are no bridges to pass under that would restrict boat size, or "Gulf Access", which allows the same access but limits the size of boat, due to the bridge height.
Canal width will vary on the saltwater canals from 80 feet to 250 feet. Some saltwater lake properties exist but are in short supply. Depending upon location, the southern properties are serviced by city water and sewer and the the saltwater canals in the northwest must use a well and septic system.
